(taken from Life of Brian) meaning they can talk all they like about when, if, maybe etc, concerning Peak Oil, but it is happening.

This is why this country needs a moratorium on building over railway trackbeds and we must instead design and plan new build around these former lines. For those houses already built over former lines, yes your property is blighted, but then that is the risk for the short-sighted amongst us who believed the Mr Marples plan that everything must go by road. I’m sure a good price will be paid before such property is reduced to rubble?

And before everyone pipes up that we can’t as a country afford it; well we can’t afford not to in my view. It will cost us more if we do nothing, as without a decent transport system we cannot trade, and trade after all is what made this country great. We have spent billions in the pursuit of oil, keeping armies in Iraq and Afghanistan, not to mention the lives lost! Instead we should spend this on returning decent transport to all parts of the country; not just to a few with high speed lines.

Anyone know how the new build blighted houses are doing on the Sturminster Newton infill?

First to go?

Well the newest to go?Knoxynoreply@blogger.com
