This was the scene on the extension in January 2007 after tree clearance and laying of temporary track.

At almost the same point this was the scene on the extension back in August 2006, shortly before the lease was signed.

Extension work has now stopped until August as the bird nesting season has begun. Attention on track development now shifts back to the safety works at Silver Street and preparation for relaying of the former up line, giving us double track up to the extension and beyond - and for now important extra storage space!
