2P rebuild?

I've had an email enquiry regarding this class of loco. If anyone does have any information please email me and I'll pass it on to the enquirer.

'Has anyone heard of a proposal to build a brand new Midland 2P 4-4-0. With all the excitement surrounding “Tornado”, “Hengist” and GWR “Star”-class, surely the recreation of the missing S&D Class 2P 4-4-0 would be relatively straightforward. I hasten to add that I am not an engineer, but only a nostalgic enthusiast. We have thanks to considerable endeavour over the years, restored examples of S&D 7F, Fowler 4F but no 2P as far as I am aware. There are a number of Standard 4, 5. Stanier black 5 Ivatt 2 etc. So if anyone wants new “authentic” photographs, of a re-born S&D then we need at least one 2P. Excuse the terrible pun, but “2P or not 2P, that is the question!”'
