Steam trains pass on the S&DJR at Pinesway Junction

.... this weekend, Sunday 26 June 2011.
First train is at 10.30 with the last at 16.30. Dont forget, buy your ticket and travel on as many trains as you like. With the Pines open all-day, why not make a day of it and stop for lunch?

Those rather fine steam engines are interesting to compare with Bagnall ones specially made for Manx Groudle Glen, which in turn interesing to compare with larger Manx "mainline" steam engines which Mr Broadbent seemed to be "toytownising" for his Glen attraction. One GGR loco operates at (UK mainland) Amberley Chalk Pits museum, the other (mostly replica) runs in the Glen. Locomotive "genetics", or "DNA" ??
