Not a wanton act of vandalism, but the beginning of a rebirth of the old wooden bodied coal wagon. It's been stripped down and will be fully restored for display on a length of track below the pillbox, a permanent reminder of the old (and future?) coal industry in this part of Somerset. Much of the work will be done by children from a local school under the guidance of Dave Rushton, who has reinvigorated the carriage and wagon department since taking over a few months ago.

That looks like quite a restoration job ahead! However, an excellent one for a school project.
