Some more shots from Jeffery Grayer's book, Sabotaged and Defeated. They cover demolition work in 1967/68, with views from Shepton Mallet, Masbury and Evercreech Junction. What were they thinking of, pulling up a double track main line linking Britain's only World Heritage City with its premier seaside resort?
It will be great seeing all this destruction reversed, and the S&D fulfilling an indispensible modern transport role in the 21st century!
