Four shots at Spetisbury. The nicest feature at this halt was the steps, complete with handrail. It's all nicely maintained and the brickwork is superb - built to last for centuries. This will be an easy station to restore, at least from the road level! There was once a brick built building on the up platform - the trackbed is clear and forms part of a trailway. The platforms are going to need some work. This section of the route was double track, and lasted until 1969. Surprisingly the halt itself was closed in 1956, but I would expect this to reopen when this part of the S&D is restored. It's odd to think that those magnificent steps haven't seen a paying passenger for 52 years!
